The first fight card of the night from Matchroom comes to a close with Dalton Smith pulverising Walid Ouizza in one round. Moment of the night however was Conah Walkers insane comeback.
Dalton Smith picks up European Title
Sheffield’s hometown hero Dalton ‘Thunder’ Smith picked up the European Super-Lightweight Title with a first round stoppage over Walid Ouizza. Dalton Smith only needed one round in a demolition of Ouizza, Dalton coming off 15 months out of the ring, shown zero signs of ring-rust. Dalton Smith after the fight said he wants: “All of the names at 140lbs: Devin Haney, the list goes on. Whatever route my team says, I’ll fight whoever. My main aim is to become a WBC world champion.” Dalton is in a very good position in the Super-Lightweight division, and is expected to have a big fight next. This could include a world title implicated fight.
Conah Walker Produces EPIC Comeback!
Conah Walker picked up the British Welterweight Title in one of the greatest comebacks of all time domestically. Walker was in the eleventh round having lost every round prior to it, with Harry Scarff dominating every exchange, and every round. This all changed when Conah Walker landed the shots he was longing for all fight. Harry Scarff could continue no longer as the referee stopped the bout. One of the most incredible comeback wins you’ll ever see.
The Undercard
Ellie Scotney defended her IBF/WBO World Super-Bantamweight titles in a convincing display in a competitive fight versus Mea Motu. Super-Featherweight prospect Ibraheem Sulaimaan moved to 7-0 with a decision win over the game Reuquen Cona Facundo Arce. Flyweight prospect Hamza Uddin picked up his fourth professional win in his first eight rounder with a convincing decision win over Misael Graffioli. In the nights opener Cruiserweight prospect Traie Dubery moved to 5-0. Despite surviving a heavy knockdown from opponent Camilo Castagno.
