MMA fan favourite ‘The Outlaw’ Dan Hardy has responded to accusations by Dana White made at the UFC280 post-fight press conference.
On Sunday, 23rd October 2022, Dan Hardy released his recent Questions and Aftermath The War Room episode, where at 1:05:19, Hardy lets rip at his former employer.
Hardy responded to the recent comments made by Dana White, where he stated Hardy was fired for an altercation with a female employee. These comments weren’t taken lightly. Hardy responded with some 25 minutes of facts relating to the accusations made.
Dan Hardy Aftermath
Hardy started off by making his feelings feel that his brand was attacked to make him unemployable, suggesting that it’s not possible to leave the UFC graciously and on good terms due to the money that they put into their employees as an asset and a brand.
He details the misconception that the issues started on July 26th 2020, but states that it goes further back to the open weighing for Masvidal vs Till, who fought on March 16th 2019.
Hardy stated that Dana wasn’t a fan of the British commentary team due to having difficulty understanding them, down to hearing issues and that the team wasn’t exactly to the taste of Dana.
Progressing onto a detailed breakdown of the Herb Dean situation, which has been well documented since Hardy called out Dean for his reluctance to step in and stop fighters absorbing unnecessary punishment during the fight island bout between Trinaldo and Herbert.
Mistreating Employee Response
To finish off, Hardy made his feelings felt on the accusations made regarding the incident of mistreating a female employee.
Hardy stated that he feels slightly bitter due to how the UFC treated him at the end but made it clear that the female employee in question was a colleague he had known and worked with for some 15 years.
Stated he had made several complaints due to “her not being very good at her job, she was lazy and wouldn’t connect media with the fighters”.
Hardy stated that many of the media are aware of the person in question but would understandably be reluctant to speak out due to effectively being blacklisted by the UFC.
Finishing off with the information that he had actually been fired on February 18th 2021, although the UFC waited until March 8th 2021, to release the news, which coincidentally was International Women’s day.
Suggesting that the UFC used this date to release this information hoping the media would jump over the news and effectively ruin Hardy’s career.
Hardy gave a shout out of thanks to Laura Sanko and Din Thomas for being good people.
