UFC light heavyweight champion Alex Pereira teased fans on Instagram recently with a cryptic story.
But, White officially announced the first fights for UFC 300 in the early hours of Friday morning in the UK.
Bo Nickal, coming off of two first-round stoppages, will make his third octagon outing against Cody Brundage.
Meanwhile, former bantamweight champion Aljamain Sterling moves up to featherweight where he will face #7-ranked contender Calvin Kattar.
Finally, Aleksandar Rakic returns from a long-term knee injury in a big matchup with the former champ, Jiri Prochazka.
Which Other Matchups Did Dana White Announce For 2024?
UFC 300 was not the only event to have some huge fights announced by Dana White.
Firstly, UFC 298, scheduled for 17 February in Anaheim, California saw two huge bouts added to the card. Robert Whittaker faces Paulo Costa in a big middleweight matchup that has already been scheduled once.
Also on that card will be the previously scheduled bout between Geoff Neal and Ian Garry. The pair were set to square off in Boston earlier this year but it did not materialise.
To Mexico City now, where Yair Rodriguez will go up against Brian Ortega once more after their last fight ended controversially. This will be a five-round fight that serves as a co-main event to Brandon Moreno vs Amir Albazi on 24 February.
Last but not least, Erin Blanchfield will pit her skills against Manon Fiorot on the card taking place on 30 March. This goes down in Atlantic City, New Jersey – marking the UFC’s return to the city following a five-year hiatus.
