UFC CEO and president Dana White keeps teasing major headliner for UFC 300.
UFC 300 will take place on April 13th at the T-Mobile Arena. Dana White has been teasing us for a while that this card will blow our minds. Thus far, the fights already confirmed, are all potential bangers. However, a main event has not been announced with the event is only two and a half months away. We kept getting some fights announced here and there and two title fights were confirmed, feels like one more is being prepared. The more time passes by, the more fight fans get anxious for an announcement, and patience could be running thin.
For months now, White kept going on Instagram Live and mentioned a fight. Even so, it is not enough to fight fans. Big news is still coming and perhaps one or two more fights to be announced to complete the card. Recently Dana White went live on Instagram is floated around the idea that we are not ready. He mentions how there are a few options they are playing around with.
“I just gave you guys a 300 fight. When will you get the main event? You guys can’t even handle the main event. We’re working on a couple of different options. Trust me, the UFC 300 main event is going to be crazy. We have a couple of options for the main event. I’m still playing with it, I’m still playing with it. When it’s time, I will give it to you.”
What is Dana White Cooking?
UFC 300 will be the 300th pay-per-view event of the company and Dana White has already announced ten fights. Many rumors are swirling around on who can headline UFC 300. With the recent win of Dricus Du Plessis at UFC 297, he spoke about a matchup versus Israel Adesanya. We already know the rivalry those two men have. Tom Aspinall recently came out saying how they offered him Stipe Miocic who refused to fight him. Alex Pereira’s next defense will be against Jamahal Hill. Has Hill recovered fully from his injury and is ready for April?
Usually, there are three fights on big pay-per-view events. With Zhang Weili defending her strawweight title in an all-Chinese match against Yan Xiaonan and the BMF bout of Justin Gathje versus Max Holloway, one more title bout is bound to be announced. Even Khamzat Chimaev has thrown in his name to be on the card.
