Dana White Talks his Thoughts on Fighters Wanting BMF Title Fight
UFC CEO Dana White took time to speak after UFC 302 this weekend at the post-fight press conference. During his interaction, he talked about the BMF title and his thoughts about UFC Featherweight champion Ilia Topuria demanding a title for the title fight with Max Holloway if that is the next fight to make. Bloody Elbow reported Dana White responding by explaining;
“We’re working on the BMF title right now,”
“No, it doesn’t rub me [the wrong way] at all, I love that people love that belt and want to fight for it – I love it.”
Dana White did mention that plans are currently in progress. However, the UFC are also very busy working on other events throughout this year. However, he believes things will be able to get sorted. Dana White explained this by stating;
“Yeah, we’re working on a lot of stuff right now, obviously we’ve got The Sphere coming up, we’ve got Madison Square Garden, we got a lot of big fights coming up around that time, we’ll get it figured out.”
What is next for the current BMF title holder Max Holloway? Does he have a title for a title fight against Ilia Topuria? Or does Holloway get a shot against Topuria however, only Topuria’s featherweight title is on the line?
