Darren Till responds to Chael Sonnen’s claims that he is “laying the groundwork to withdraw from UFC 282“.
Darren Till is set to face off against Dricus Du Plessis at UFC 282, taking place December 10th in the T-Mobile Arena in Nevada. Till comes in with an (18-4) professional record, and Plessis (has a 17-2) professional record. Till is looking to get back into the win column after winning one of his last five. However, he faces no easy feat in Plessis as he is coming off a five-fight win streak.
Chael’s Comments
Chael recently took to his you tube channel to give his thoughts on the middleweight bout, and how he believes that it will not go ahead. He said the following:
“Bo Nickal vs Dricus Du Plessis for Bo’s first time the UFC December 10. I’ve been telling you as calmly and for as long as I can, Dricus du Plessis and Darren Till isn’t going to happen. I will continue to tell you the until I’m right. But as I look at the card and Bo Nickal right now is scheduled for an undercard. Now you got to understand that this is Vegas and this is pay-per-view.”
Darren Till Responds
Darren Till responded to this on Michael Bisping’s “Believe You Me” podcast and had the following to say:
“It’s mad because I put a post up… Chael Sonnen started saying, “this is an indicator that Till’s going to pull out of the fight. Chael shut the f**k up up mate, with your podcast lad. He’s scared of me Chael, because I threated to pull his number up like I did Ariel’s.”
Despite Till being absent from the octagon for quite some time, he is adamant that this middleweight bout will go ahead, and he will insert himself back into middleweight title contention. With Till regularly training alongside Khamzat Chimeav, we may see a whole new fighter in the Liverpudlian.
What are your thoughts on the situation? Do you think the bout will go ahead as planned?
