Darren Till Laughs at Opponent Anthony Taylor Ahead of His Return to Combat at MF & Dazn Series 18
Former UFC star Darren “The Gorilla” Till and boxer Anthony Taylor faced off in a memorable pre-fight press conference ahead of MF & DAZN Series 18. The two are set to fight on Saturday 18th of January at the Co-Op Live Arena in Manchester, England.
Originally Till was supposed to face off against Tommy Fury. However, Fury pulled out of the fight after Till jokingly threatened to kick Fury if he was losing the boxing match.
The press conference was highlighted by Taylor’s bold attempts to get under the skin of the stoic Till. Unbothered by any of Taylors remarks, Til maintained a calm, collected demeanour throughout.
The exchange got underway with Taylor trying to provoke the seasoned fighter Till, stating, “I’m about to make easy work of you.” Aiming to rattle Darren Taylor went at Till’s appearance, “Yeah, I’m about to get them veneers redone for you.”
Despite the aggressive tone, Till remained unfazed, sporting a grin throughout the exchange. His response was short and cutting:
“You’re s***, you’re just s***.”
“The Gorilla” Refuses to Face Off
The light-hearted face-off didn’t escalate as Till nonchalantly walked off stage after delivering his retort. The exchange highlighted Till’s confidence, uninterested in facing off with Taylor due to Till’s believed superior boxing ability.
His relaxed demeanour stood in stark contrast to Taylor’s high-energy trash-talking style. Fans and commentators flocked to social media, with many praising Till for defusing Taylor’s attempts to get under his skin.
Scheduled to take place in Manchester, the match has drawn significant attention due to Till’s crossover from MMA to boxing. For Till, this fight represents a new chapter in his career, while Taylor aims to cement his reputation as a showman and a skilled competitor.
Whether Till’s calm approach or Taylor’s bravado will prevail is yet unsure, but their press conference has set the stage for an entertaining clash.
