News has just broken that Darren Till has had to withdraw from his scheduled bout with Jack Hermansson. Apparently, due to an undisclosed injury, we wish Darren a speedy recovery. This fight was previously the co-main event for the UFC’s upcoming London event on July 23rd.
UFC London Without Co-Main Event
Darren Till was making his return in London after his defeat to Derrick Brunson last time out. A fan favourite, with a big personality who would bring eyes to the card this is a massive loss. Looking to bounce back in a big way in front of a home crowd it’s a shame for both the fighter and the fans.
Jack Hermansson will now be without an opponent and with the date just over two weeks away can the UFC find a replacement for the #8 Middleweight. An early rumour has Chris Curtis as a potential hero to save the day. But as of now, this is unconfirmed.
Still, a stacked card with plenty of talent, the Scouser’s absents will no doubt be noted. However, it won’t sully what should be a tremendous night of fights, hopefully in the vein of the organisation’s last trip to the UK in March.
