Darren Till Soccer Callouts Stir Controversy
Darren Till has never shied away from making bold statements, and his latest callouts of soccer icons Gary Neville and Cristiano Ronaldo have fans scratching their head. Till is known for his brash and unpredictable personality, and if he get’s the opportunity to throw a spanner in the works, he will.
When asked in a recent interview which soccer star he’d like to face in a fight, Till wasted no time naming former Manchester United defender Gary Neville. Their shared history as representatives of rival cities—Liverpool and Manchester—makes the callout all the more intriguing.
“Gary Neville, because me and him have had Twitter beef. He doesn’t like me,” Till said with a smirk, “Got a little bit of beef with Gary. I don’t hate the guy, but yeah, it’d probably be Gary Neville.”
The rivalry between Liverpool and Manchester United is one of the fiercest in sports history, and Till’s comments only add fuel to the fire.
Ronaldo’s Power Impresses Till
Not content with just one target, Till turned his attention to Portuguese superstar Cristiano Ronaldo. Known for his incredible fitness and explosive athleticism, Ronaldo has long been admired across sports disciplines.
“Or Cristiano Ronaldo, because he seems like a big, tough fellow, Cristiano,” Till continued. “I’d like to see his speed and power. Seems like a very explosive man. He’s obviously ripped to the gills, isn’t he? You know, he doesn’t drink Coca-Cola or anything like that. I need to take a leaf out of his book.”
The callout, though lighthearted, underscores Till’s ability to grab headlines and keep fans entertained.
Darren Till Prepares for Boxing Return
While these soccer callouts might seem like a diversion, Till’s focus remains on his upcoming boxing match against Tommy Fury. Scheduled for January 18 at the Co-op Arena in Manchester, the fight promises to deliver fireworks.
The press conference promoting the bout already made waves when Fury’s father, John, threw a water bottle at Till, sparking a heated exchange. The animosity between the camps has set the stage for a dramatic showdown.
