Liverpool’s Darren Till returns on July 23rd to London’s O2 Arena to take on Jack Hermansson. The Scouse middleweight hasn’t fought in his homeland since 2019. Till will be hopeful of snapping a losing skid in front of a passionate audience.
Darren Till vs. Jack Hermansson
Till has recently been training over in Sweden at All-Stars MMA with fellow “Smesh Bro” Khamzat Chimaev in what looks to be a gruelling schedule. Following Chimaev‘s win over Gilbert Burns, Darren Till has returned to Team Kaobon for fight preparations. However, his time in Sweden has left many questions over Till’s potential improvements.
Hermansson himself comes into this one following a loss to Sean Strickland. It has been a very 50-50 few years for “The Joker”, but he is as versatile and vicious an opponent as any in the division.
Tom Aspinall, Till’s teammate, headlines the O2 Arena card. Till would probably have expected to headline had it been anyone else. However, Till has always spoken of the great respect he has for Tom and his abilities.
With the mentorship from fighters like Chimaev and Alexander Gustafsson. Till may have found the key to the city in the wrestling department.
Do you think Darren Till 2.0 could be a force in the middleweight division after his recent work with Chimaev?
