First reported by Irish Mirror, Dublin-born MMA talent Dean Barry was recently confirmed as one of Karate Combat’s latest additions.
Barry now looks to get back into competing in the world of Mixed Martial Arts following an unsuccessful UFC debut, which saw Barry disqualified due to an illegal eye poke against Mike Jackson. Due to this, Dean was cut from the promotion after just one fight.
Although new to the Combat Sports world, Karate Combat is gaining traction fast. KC’s rule set mixes MMA with traditional Karate, making for some entertaining fights.
Being a former kickboxing champion who used a karate-like style in the cage, ‘The Sniper’ will certainly look the part in the Karate Combat pit.
