Dennis ‘The Menace’ McCann is certainly one of boxing’s top ”hot prospects” in the UK and in the world of boxing right now.
The confident, slick, explosive 12-0 (6KOs) southpaw has been making a name for himself. Alongside a lot of noise from within the boxing world. And Especially within the Flyweight division.
The Early Days of Dennis McCann
So, The Menace may be one of the very few athletes who actually left his early school years behind him. (At around 10/11 years old) to focus full time on the sport of boxing. Now, on route to his 13th professional bout, it seems to have been a great decision. But, back in his early years, Dennis had been around fighting his whole life. This comes as no surprise to us all that he radiates confidence inside and outside of the ring and within every aspect of the fight game.
Amateur Career
The Menace, although at such a young age (now 21), had a very positive and successful amateur career. A former nine-time national amateur champion with a very strong 50-4 record. Sixteen of them win by a knockout! 18th of May 2019, Mccann had his debut fight as a professional under Frank Warren and has not failed to impress since. McCann is part of a very tough division, but old Frank, alongside many pundits, feels McCann has all the tools to go onto world honours!
Summary
Could this supremely talented young kid climb to the top?
So Dennis McCann has all the tools to make it big. The talent. The ”easy on the eyes” style. He has a very charismatic and likeable personality, and we can’t wait to see if he can stay disciplined and dedicated to winning some world honours. As Anthony Joshua would say, ”stay hungry, stay humble”. McCann will need to follow this advice as he moves up the ladder of boxing and stardom.
