A heavyweight showdown between Derek Chisora and Kubrat Pulev has been confirmed for July 9. The bout is scheduled to take place at the O2 Arena in London.
Chisora went toe-to-toe with Pulev back in 2016, losing via split decision at Hamburg’s Barclaycard Arena.

Regarding the recent announcement, promoter Eddie Hearn said: “’I’m delighted to get this fight over the line.
“Initially we worked on some other opponents for Derek, but this fight came out of nowhere a few days ago and I absolutely love it!
“I think the strapline, ‘Total Carnage’, is absolutely perfect for this fight, in terms of the build-up and in terms of the fight itself.
“Expect the unexpected but expect a thriller at The O2 on July 9.
“Both men have been longstanding fixtures of the World Heavyweight division and it’s all or nothing at The O2 for both, as defeat could lead to the end of the road.
“Fans can expect a huge undercard and a brilliant main event for another brilliant event live on DAZN.”
‘Del Boy’s is currently riding a three-fight losing streak following defeats to Oleksandr Usyk and two defeats to Joseph Parker. However, Derek has promised fans ‘total carnage’ ahead of the rematch with the Bulgarian.
As for Pulev, the Bulgarian returned to the ring in May and successfully defeated Jerry Forrest via decision. Pulev has only lost to Wladimir Klitschko and Anthony Joshua throughout his entire professional career.
Boxing fans have been informed that tickets will likely cost £40, £80, £100, £200 and £400.
Chisora is never afraid to back down from any fight and has always accepted any difficult fight that he has been offered. Despite the fact that it’s been six years since their first encounter, both Chisora and Pulev will be looking to put on a show.
