The Last Dance for Derek Chisora takes place tonigut as he takes on the Swiss Otto Wallin over ten rounds in Manchester, with a stacked undercard featuring. Catch the round by round updates for every fight here on this article.
Derek Chisora returns this tonight as part of his ‘Last Dance’. This is because it’s his last expected fight in the United Kingdom, coming to the end of his special career. Tonight will be fight 49 for Derek Chisora, and he’ll be looking for his 36th win. Chisora will be looking to keep momentum after his big win over Joe Joyce at the 02 Arena last year.
Standing in the other corner will be (27-2) Otto Wallin. Wallin is most known for his losses, they came to Tyson Fury who Wallin gave a horror cut to. The latest is Anthony Joshua, who dominantly stopped Wallin. However, since then Wallin did pick up a KO win last year over (20-4) Onoriode Ehwarieme. It’s a tough fight for Chisora, and many see it as a poor matchmaking fight of this last dance. However, you can never rule out Derek, and it’s still a very intriguing matchup.
The undercard sees Nathan Heaney return as chief support versus Sofiane Khati over ten rounds. Jack Raffertty defends British & Commonwealth titles versus Reece MacMillan. Zach Parker takes on late replacement Mickael Diallo in the light heavyweight division and Massid Abdulah clashes with Zak Miller for the vacant British Featherweight title.

Round 1: 10-9 Chisora
All the pressure from Derek Chisora in the first round, not letting Wallin breathe, constantly in front of him throwing. Wallin happy to take the pressure and let Chisora lose energy and looks very tentative in the first. The small 18ft ring requested from Chisora is suiting him as it’s no issue getting in front of Wallin.
Round 2: 20-18 Chisora
More constant pressure in front of Wallin from Derek Chisora. Wallin with a tight guard and taking the pressure form Chisora with not a lot coming back. Wallin likely trying to let Chisora tire and take over in the later rounds.
Round 3: 30-27 Chisora
Another good round from Del Boy. Huge right overhand lands and puts Wallin back. Again the pressure comes from Chisora against a tentative Wallin who’s spending most of the fight on the back foot.
Round 4: 40-36 Chisora
Another great round from Chisora who’s looking much better then a nervy Wallin here. Chisora’s pressure and pace is starting to slow and more shots landing from Wallin but only in singles not bunches. Chisora then lands more shots to the body and starts to manhandle Wallin.
Round 5: 50-45 Chisora
Another Chisora round. Wallin is again on the back foot and not throwing enough. Chisora continues to walk down Wallin, who is still on the backfoot. Chisora landed big right hooks and jabs. Wallin lands a sharp left and now Chisora has a horrible cut above his eye which could be a big factor in this fight.
Round 6: 59-55 Chisora (10-9 Wallin)
The cut is really going to hinder Chisora here. Blood is pouring out his eye. Wallin finally let’s his jab go and referee asks the doctor to check Chisora’s cut.
Round 7: 69-64 Chisora (10-9 Chisora)
Chisora continues to walk forward and apply pressure, his accuracy has dropped at the start but he keeps pushing on. Still Wallin lets his hands go. Final 20 seconds Chisora’s let’s his hands go in a huge flurry of punches to Wallin to win the round.
Round 8: 79-73 Chisora (10-9 Chisora)
MASSIVE flurry of punches from Chisora to Wallin who somehow stays on his feet and continues this fight. Then continues the pressure. What a performance from Derek!
Round 9: 89-81 Chisora (10-8 Chisora)
Chisora KNOCKS down Otto Wallin with a shot to the temple and continues the pressure but still Wallin stays in the fight but not offering alot back. Chisora let’s some shots go but then goes on the back foot to get a breather.

Better round from Wallin as Chisora has slowed. More shots thrown and landed from Wallin but still nothing of note.
Round 11: 107-101 (10-9 Wallin)
Another round for Wallin as Chisora looks more tired and seems to try regain energy. Wallin does enough but still not enough to put a dent into Chisora who’s still throwing big punches no matter how tired he is.

DOWN goes Wallin once again from a huge shot from Chisora! What a performance and surely he gets the wide decision victory.

21:41 Fight 5: Nathan Heaney vs Sofiane Khati
Round 1: 10-9 Heaney
Dominant start from Heaney behind his left hand again Khati who is a lot slower in the first. Khati needs to bring the fight closer to negate Heaney long jab.
Round 2: 20-18 Heaney
Big right hand from Heaney breaks Khatis guard and puts him onto the ropes. More pressure as combinations hit the guard of Khati who needs to move faster.
Round 3: 30-27 Heaney
Another round from Heaney behind his jab. Khati unloads some shots but fails to make anything of it. Control from the middle of the ring from Heaney is more then enough to assert enough control.
Round 4: 39-37 Heaney (10-9 Khati)
Khati makes a fast start to the round with a combination attack to the body. Heaney landed but then Khati responded with a left hook to mark his best round of the fight for Sofiane.
Round 5: 48-47 Heaney (10-9 Khati)

21.03 Fight 4: Jack Rafferty vs Reece MacMillan for the British & Commonwealth Titles
Round 1: 10-9 Rafferty
Good sharp opening round from Rafferty. Lands a good left hook. Be interesting to see if MacMillan can keep Rafferty of him like Henry Turner did for the first half of their fight.
Round 2: 20-18 Rafferty
Good jab from Rafferty banks him another round. MacMillan trying to counter but not having much success. Landing some right hands now too.
Round 3: 30-27 Rafferty
Rafferty starting to take control of this now and applying some really good pressure. MacMillan unable to cope with the pressure so far. Good shots to the head and body and taking full control.
Round 4: 39-37 Rafferty
First round for MacMillan on my unofficial scorecard. Loses his gumshield so gets a breather. Then lands his best shot of the night with a big right hand then lands some more good shots. Rafferty takes them well.
Round 5: 49-46 Rafferty
Rafferty gains control again with his jab. Lands a heavy jab which sends MacMillan back. And then lands a big right hand. Good round to gain control again.
Round 6: 59-55 Rafferty
Another great round for Jack. His best round of the fight yet. Massive right hand pushed him back then a big barrage of punches puts Reece on the ropes towards the end of the round. Pure domination.
Round 7: Rafferty STOPS MacMillan as his corner throws in the towel.
20.15 Fight 3: Zach Parker vs Mickael Diallo in the light-heavyweight division.
Round 1: 10-9 Parker
Very quiet start from both, Parker trying to establish his jab. Not much action yet. Nothing notable landing from Diallo.
Round 2: 20-18 Parker
Another quiet round. Not a good showing so far from Zach Parker. Too much clinching and holding. Diallo tough but very limited and not much coming from him. Parker needs to work at range more and fight a cleaner fight, Diallo there to be stopped.
Round 3: 30-27 Parker
Better round from Parker. Cut from clash of heads. Parker switched to southpaw and landed a few jabs. Diallo is tough, game and trying to slug away but not putting much clean work together.
Round 4: 40-36 Parker
Couple big body shots from Parker but both absorbed from Diallo. Then lands a decent right hand but a horrible cut over his right eye. Corner needs some work on that eye.
Round 5: 50-45 Parker
Big right hand from Parker but again the tough Diallo just takes it. The cut is still a big problem from Parker but he lands a solid body shot. Diallo keeps throwing but no quality work.
Round 6
Just another disappointing round from Parker. The crowd are getting very bored. Needed to push on a show and this was his chance but he’s slugging along against limited opposition.
Round 7
Another boring round banked. A lot of clinching and not a lot of clean work. Blood all over both from Parker’s eye in the clinch.
Round 8
Parker walked in to 2 big shots but then Parker lands a huge couple right hands and Diallo does well to not go down. Parker shattered and more blood poors. Not great action this.
Round 9
Parker is exhausted and falls again. Diallo has been better the second half of this fight and could’ve nicked some rounds. Long battle continues.
Round 10
Parker falls.. once again due to exhaustion. This is not good.
20.57 Official Result: Zach Parker takes the decision win in a boring, scrappy affair. Really not a good showing from Parker.
19.10 Fight 2 – Masood Abdulah vs Zak Miller for the Vacant British Featherweight Title
Round 1 & 2: 20-18 Miller
Fast start from Miller. Landing some great counter shots and very fast jab that Abdulah isn’t defending and needs to be better defensively. Abdulah needs to get into this more.
Round 3: 30-27 Miller
More right hands and counters land from Miller. Abdulah lands a good 1-2 but Miller comes again. Abdulah has his best work on the inside.
Head clash causes a cut above the eye of Abdulah.
Round 4: 40-36
Another good round with more success and countere for Miller. Abdulahs defence has to improve. More urgently needed for Masood as he could start being well behind at this rate.
Round 5: 49-46
Better round for Abdulah, needs to continue good work. Crowd influence will play a part as they cheer every bit of Millers work. Very even round.
Round 6: 58-56 Miller
Big round for Abdulah. Lands his best shot of the fight. Gets through with a left hook. Good 1/2. Miller on the back foot while Abdulah gets more shots while Miller has slowed down for a bit.
Round 7: 67-66 Miller
Another good round from Abdulah. Good pressure with Miller moving less and holding his feet alot more. Good left hands land, and a stiff jab but Miller did respond. Great fight.
Round 8: 77-75 Miller
Another right hand from Miller lands halfway through the round. Abdulah better first minute but Miller long jab at range and constant pressure. Abdulah needs to match Millers pressure.
Round 9: 86-85 Miller
Round for Abdulah. Once again a better first minute from Masood. Big right hand to the body. Better pressure and Miller seems to be tiring. Big right hand too, Miller needs to get moving again.
Round 10: 96-94 Miller
Great comeback round from Zak Miller. More success with his long right hand just after Masood had a great round 9. Miller on the front foot and applying good pressure.
Round 11: 106-103 Miller
Another right hand from Miller who has blood dripping from his face. Miller keeps catching him when Abdulah is coming in. Big final round coming up.
Round 12: 116-112 Miller
Abdulah big punch to the back of Millers head. Both keep slugging it out landing shots. Millers corner fuming that a point wasn’t deducted but as the fight ends they feel they’ve done enough for Miller to win it.
20.06 Official Result: 114-114, 115-113, 115-113 Zak Miller is the NEW British & Commonwealth Featherweight Champion!
Fight 1: Lewis Williams vs Cristian Uwaka (Heavyweight 4 rounds)
Round 1 & 2
Dominant start from Williams, very measured performance and picking his shots very well. Good boxing display with an experience Uwaka who is in there to survive with a high guard. Williams will need to step up the pressure to get the stoppage.
19.00 Official Result: 40-36 Lewis Williams
Every round won for Williams, a decent boxing display. Not the most exciting performance and not too promising but he boxed very clinically and mature. Good rounds banked.
