Dillon Danis says he is doubtful his upcoming fight with KSI will happen. In just over two weeks the two are set to clash in a boxing match, however, Danis believes “stupid rules” will stop the fight from going ahead.
Danis spoke to former UFC title contender Chael Sonnen on Sonnen’s YouTube about the upcoming fight. The current Bellator fighter has been calling out the likes of KSI, Jake Paul, and Logan Paul for some time now. Now, he gets his wish to fight a YouTuber-turned-boxer.
“It’s a lot of money to beat up a guy who doesn’t know how to fight,” Danis said when discussing why he moved to the sport of boxing. The former Jiu Jitsu competitor transitioned to mixed martial arts in 2018 but has not fought since 2019.
Dillon Danis Under The Impression The Fight Won’t Happen
Danis then added his theory that the fight between himself and the YouTube personality won’t happen.
“Between you and me, I don’t think this fight will happen.
“They are trying to make weird things in the contract now two weeks before.
“If it does happen like that, I wait for nobody so I will jump on that Bellator card on March second.”
Danis believes those involved in the contracts are tipping the favour towards KSI.
“It’s not a professional fight so they are trying to make everything handicapped for me.

When Sonnen asked what Danis meant by ‘handicapped’ the fighter said he had been asked to weigh four or five pounds heavier on fight day. Also for every pound, he doesn’t make on the second day, Dannis will face a penalty. Danis is clearly unsatisfied with the rules of weight regulation.
Danis gives no credit to his opponent’s ability, however, and remains confident he will be victorious.
This will be Danis’ boxing debut but has competed in some of the biggest shows in combat sports. Although he is not a boxer, he is an athlete who believes he has what it takes to win in this Misfits Boxing main event.
