Eddie Hearn has stated that Jake Paul is “quite a big favorite” in his upcoming fight with Tommy Fury.
Despite the fight previously falling through on the two separate occasions that it was booked, the pair are set to finally clash on February 25th in Saudi Arabia if all goes to plan.
Hearn, who hasn’t at all been one to mince his words on Jake gave his opinion on the bout in an interview with IFL TV, stating that “Jake Paul is levels above any fighter Tommy Fury has ever boxed”.
Eddie Hearn Analyses Jake Paul Vs Tommy Fury
“I think it’s a good fight,” Hearn stated. “Frighteningly, I make Jake Paul a favourite, quite a big favourite in the fight. That is like a sort of 50-50 fight talking about levels, a good fight for an undercard. It just so happens that Jake Paul is a huge name and built a brilliant profile & Tommy Fury’s a big name as well, so they can do that as a main event, make a load of money and I think it’s quite an interesting fight because we just don’t know.
“Jake Paul is levels above any fighter Tommy Fury has ever boxed – shows you his resume. I’ve watched some of Tommy, he hasn’t looked very good recently, but can he fight? I don’t know, if he can fight, if he’s actually a genuine prospect, he’ll beat Jake but if he’s not, he’ll get beat. I like it, I quite like the fight.
Eddie isn’t alone in his prediction, as oddsmakers currently have Jake Paul as the betting favourite at 8/13.
Ahead Of Fight Night
Whilst the stakes are high for Tommy, he maintains the stance that Jake is not a challenge for him. He believes he has higher ambitions in the sport & that Jake Paul isn’t a legitimate fighter, despite pulling out of the fight on two occasions. Jake (6-0) carries major momentum into the fight, having impressively defeated Anderson Silva back in October. Conversely, Tommy (8-0) had a lacklustre outing against a short-notice replacement in Rolly Lambert Fogum on the November Mayweather vs Deji undercard, a fight which is notably remembered for Jake Paul’s controversial heckling at ringside, causing John Fury to rip his shirt off and challenge Jake to fight him in the ring after the final bell.
Consequently, fireworks are to be expected if this grudge match finally goes down on February 25th.

I agree. I believe that Tommy has too much pressure on him due to the Fury name and his family. He gives me the impression of a guy that doesn’t want to fight, but has been backed into a corner by his family. Think Tommy might be in for a long night!
