Eddie Hearn had something to say regarding Tyson Fury’s comments on Oleksandr Usyk vs Anthony Joshua.
Joshua, despite performing well, went on to lose a split decision to the Ukrainian.
Fury took to social media to give his thoughts on the rematch.
“I’ll be honest guys, after watching that, both of them were s****,” Fury said. “It was one of the worst heavyweight title fights I have ever seen; it was bulls***. I would annihilate both of them on the same night… f***ing s****. Get your f***ing chequebook out because the Gypsy King is here to stay forever.”
There were boxing fans across the globe supporting Joshua in the hope that both Fury and Joshua would meet at Wembley.
However, it also looks as if ‘The Gypsy King’ is happy to fight Usyk.
Eddie Hearn Has His Say on Tyson Fury
At the post-fight press conference, Eddie Hearn had his say on Fury’s comments.
“I don’t know Tyson Fury well enough,” Hearn said. “This guy here [AJ] is my friend, he’s a great individual, he gave everything tonight. If you want to goad him for that then you are what you are.”
Hearn brought up the fact that Fury has advocated mental health over the years, but is now mocking someone who is suffering.
“You saw the reaction of [Joshua] there. In Tyson Fury, this is a guy who openly says he’s had all these mental health problems and struggles, stuff like that.
“You see a guy [AJ] up there crying, as big and strong as AJ, who for years has put on a brave face. And tonight you just saw chinks in the armour.
“So if you want to see a guy who’s been through this ‘mental health’ experience and goading someone when they’re down and when they’re devastated, that shows you the kind of man he [Fury] is.”
Following Joshua’s bizarre post-fight quotes, it looked as if something was not quite right with the Englishman.
Now is the time for Anthony to spend time with his family and take some time away front he sport as he considers what might be next.
