Ella Beale is set to make her mixed martial arts return this Saturday at Golden Ticket Fight Promotions 23, and she can’t wait to put on a show.
Ella returns for the first time since April last year where she bagged her first amateur victory over Ellie Davies at BMF 2. The amateur talent wants to use Saturday night as an opportunity to showcase her improvements in her year away from competition.
The event will take place in Wolverhampton, England, at the K.K Steelmill. Tickets for the show can be purchased by visiting the promotion’s website, along with the pay-per-view stream.
Ahead of her fight, we had the chance to sit down with Ella Beale and get her thoughts on this weekend’s clash with Martyna Przbylska.
Interview With Ella Beale
Ella, you’re all set to return to competition after a long break from stepping in there. How have things been since the last time you stepped foot in the cage, and how much of a more improved version can people expect to see?
Things have been going great since my last fight; I have been training consistently and working on improving all areas of my game. I truly believe I have come a long way since my last fight. Expect to see the best version of me in there on Sept. 2.
When you announced the fight, you mentioned that you were “patiently waiting”. It has been some time. What’s the reasoning behind the long break, and were you hopeful of returning before you are?
The reason behind the long break was due to not being able to find an opponent. I don’t care who it is; I just want to fight. I have wanted to fight all year, but it’s been a struggle with the lack of females in the sport. Good things come to those who wait, and I’m grateful I have now got the chance to showcase my skills.
Ella Beale on BMF 2
For those who watched you compete at BMF 2 and will be tuning in on Sept. 2. Where can they expect to see the biggest improvements in your game and overall development?
I think I have improved in all aspects of my game since my last fight. I feel like I’ve always had the heart for it, but now I’m developing, being smart, composed and hungry to learn more every day.
Next Saturday, you will face Martyna Przbylska in Wolverhampton. She made her debut last year. Have you managed to watch that back at all and get any footage? If so, what were your initial thoughts?
I haven’t really seen a huge amount about Martyna, but I know she’s game, seems well rounded and looks like she wants a good scrap from the things I have seen online. I have respect for her, and I appreciate the match-up. Martyna or someone else, for me, the result remains the same. Me having my hand raised on Sept. 2.
Fighting Martyna Przbylska
Suppose Martyna Przbylska watches back your previous fights and expects the same version to turn up. What would you have to say to her?
Prepare yourself for the best version of myself because that’s what I’ll be bringing to the cage. At the end of the day, I love to fight, and I’m tough as f**k. Don’t sleep on me. That would be my advice.
Finally, what would it mean to you to get back into the win column after a long break out, and how does Ella Beale celebrate after?
It would mean so much to me to get myself back into the win column after a long break. I have been lucky enough to be blessed with an amazing new facility at HW1, with some of the best coaches around and a high standard of training partners. I’m happy and feeling dangerous.
Celebrating for me afterwards will be eating every food item I’ve been dreaming about throughout camp until I feel sick. Best believe it will be can eat will eat. I’m looking forward to celebrating with the HW1 boys and girls after we all showcase our skills in the cage. It’s going to be one you don’t wanna miss.
