We’ve learned from Ella Beale’s return to competition that she is a gamer and loves to fight, and those attending Badmofo MMA 7 can expect no difference from her.
BMF 7 is set to go down tomorrow night in the Barnsley Metrodome with a stacked card for those attending to digest. The show has quickly become one of the biggest shows in the UK at a fast pace.
Ella Beale will clash with Millie Vardy on fight day, and before the clash, we caught up with the amateur fighter.
Interview With Ella Beale
Ella, you made your return last month at GTFP 23 after some time out. Firstly, you got your hand raised, but how did you feel in there in terms of your progression, timing and distance after being out of active competition for some time?
I hadn’t been in the cage for over a year and a half, so part of me felt like I wasn’t as composed as I could have been in the first round. The timing and distance didn’t feel like a problem for me. I’m looking forward to coming in fresh and ready on October 7th. As soon as I left the cage after GTFP, I wanted to be right back in there fighting. I can’t wait.
You left Wolverhampton with the unanimous decision and a great showing. Having had time to watch that fight back, how do you feel about how you performed, and was there anything you weren’t pleased with?
I was happy with my performance, other than coming out a little rushed. Watching back, I can see where improvements needed to be made, and I have made those throughout this camp. Of course, there are many things to look at and be critical of. I have so much to learn in this sport. After being out for so long, I was happy with my performance.
Ella Beale on Activity
You mentioned you loved to fight, and after a break, you were looking for activity. It would appear you’re starting as you mean to go on. If you are healthy, can we expect to see you again before the year ends, or will this be you until 2024?
If a fight comes up before the end of the year and I feel good, then I’ll take it. As I’ve said before, finding these fights being at a heavier weight category is a struggle, so anything I can get, I am keen. If not mma, then most definitely some ju-jitsu comps to stay active till the year ends.
You’ll meet Millie Vardy on Saturday night in the Barnsley Metrodome. With only three fights to her name, she has a great accolade to her name. How do you feel about this fight, and is it safe to say this is your toughest fight to date?
I feel good about this fight. I am really looking forward to it. I’m pumped. I’m sure Millie will also be coming in on Saturday night with the same energy. Good for her. I am ready for anything and want the cage time. I don’t want an easy fight, I want experience, I want to be challenged and I want to learn every time I step in there.
Showcasing New Tools
Is there anything you didn’t get to show in your fight at Golden Ticket that you are hungry to show against Millie?
I feel I didn’t get to show cause my striking as the fight was a lot of wall work and wrestling. I’m looking forward to showcasing my skills on the feet as well as my wrestling and grappling.
Finally, let us know what we can expect from this fight. Why should we remain in our seats?
Expect power, expect heart and expect a proper scrap.
