Ermil Xhaferi will remember Cage Warriors 169 as the night he got his first Cage Warriors win emphatically. In control, he expertly dispatched his opponent in the first with an excellent rear naked choke.

We quickly move on to a submission of the year contender. Losing the fight as Angus Hewett’s heavy top pressure proved difficult to compete against. The BJJ expert Mitchell Goode made sure Cage Warriors 169 will live long in the memory. On his way to losing a decision, with less than a minute on the clock. Goode locked up a buggy choke, securing the promotion’s first-ever variant.

UK prospect Jimmy Quinn bounced back devastatingly after suffering his first defeat last time out. A flashy first-round showcasing his slick striking skills. It took less than 60 seconds of round two before he cinched up the guillotine choke.

Shock of the night came when 44-year-old debutant Carlos Pereira, knocked out fan-favourite Darren Stewart. After a first round which saw each man trading blows, the second started with a fire fight. It was the Brazilian who landed the bigger blows just 28 seconds into the second.

After a first round which saw Will Currie dominate for large parts. As soon as the horn sounded it was clear Leon Aliu wanted no part of Currie in round two. The fight was waved off, declaring Currie the victor via TKO.
Jordan Vucenic Def. Simone D’Anna via submission (kimura) Round 2, 2:53
The final Cage Warriors 169 fight of the night saw Jordan Vucenic continue to excel. Potentially on the cusp of a shot in the UFC. Vucenic made light work of his Italian opposition D’Anna, securing a second-round kimura.
