At 3-0, Cornellius Aritonang is a prospect in the featherweight ranks at Cage Warriors. Stepping into enemy turf, the Indonesian stood toe to toe with grappling specialist Thomas Hepburn, gaining the advantage before securing the first-round rear-naked choke.
Light Heavyweight – Nell Ariano vs Jamie Macdonald

Another result to silence the crowd. Nell Ariano took out Scotland’s own Jamie McDonald, securing his first pro win as he moved to 1-0. Riding some hairy moments in the first, the debutant took over before scoring a TKO victory in the second round.
Featherweight – Paul McBain vs Alberth Dias
Result: Paul McBain Def. Alberth Dias via TKO (retirement) Round 2, 5:00
In a back-and-forth fight that arguably could have been Cage Warriors 171 fight of the night. Both men had their moments in a two-round war, but Paul McBain came out on top piling on the punishment as Alberth Dias retired after the second round.
Lightweight – Konstantinos Ntelis vs Jan Quaeyhaegens
Result: Jan Quaeyhaegens Def. Konstantinos Ntelis via submission (rear-naked choke) Round 2, 4:11
Despite being one of the best lightweight Cage Warriors has to offer. Jan Quaeyhaegens pulled off a shocking win over top prospect Konstantinos Ntelis. Using his grappling advantage well in the first. Jan found a path to victory and took it. Securing a second-round submission.
Flyweight – Nicolas Leblond vs Scott Malone
Result: Nicolas Leblond Def. Scott Malone via TKO (punches) Round 3, 1:27
In complete control through the first two. It looked as if Scott Malone was on his way to scoring a unanimous decision victory at Cage Warriors 171. However, Nicolas Leblond had other ideas. Uncorking a huge left hand dropping his opponent before swarming for the finish.
Welterweight – Lucas Rodrigues vs Sean Clancy Jr
Result: Sean Clancy Jr Def. Lucas Rodrigues via TKO (punches) Round 2, 4:04
A star continued to rise as Sean Clancy Jr. delivered a statement performance as he defeated Lucas Rodrigues in his toughest career test to date. Dominating the first, Clancy Jr. put Rodrigues out of his misery with brutal ground and pound.
Lightweight – Dumitru Girlean vs Chris Bungard
Result: Dumitru Girlean Def. Chris Bungard via submission (guillotine) Round 2, 3:47
The Cage Warriors 171 main event delivered. Perhaps not the result the Scottish crowd would have liked. It was Italy’s Dumitru Girlean who played party pooper, as he defeated Chris Bungard with a nasty guillotine in the second round.
