Ex UFC double champion, Henry Cejudo, has revealed the amount of money that Mike Tyson is set to earn for taking on Jake Paul.
Netflix announced, just over two weeks ago, that they would host their first ever live boxing event headlined by Jake Paul and Mike Tyson.
The announcement has seen some backlash from fighters, promoters and fans alike but after seeing how much Mike Tyson will be paid, it’s not hard to see why he’s lacing up the gloves again.
MMA legend Henry Cejudo and co host Kamara Usman have raised concerns on why Paul has decided to take on a man In his late sixties in there new podcast.
Mike Tyson Purse: Set to Make $20 Million Against Jake Paul
Cejudo said: “I mean, you know what I respect, Uncle Mike… But it obviously takes two to tango. I feel like there is probably a really good payday for Mike. He’s probably going to wind up making close to about 20 mil, and he’s about to turn 58 years old.”
For some context that is around the same money Francis Ngannou got for fighting Anthony Joshua and is just above 600,000 per year of age that Jake has on him.
The self proclaimed problem child has been quick to post jabs at Tyson on social media, including recreating his famous face tattoo on his own face and copying the famous photo of Mike and his tiger.
The two will headline at The AT&T Stadium, the Dallas Cowboys home, which hosts 80,000 people.
Despite the age gap Tyson does have 46 more bouts than Paul including wins against; Frank Bruno, Julius Francis and Peter McNeeley.
Paul on the other hand, only has two victories over traditional boxers; Ryan Bourland and Andre August. Then wins over four different ex UFC fighters and three influencers but also includes a loss to Tommy Fury.
