Interview With Jack Axworthy
A couple of weeks out from your next and first outing of 2023. How’s the body and mind feeling heading into your third year as an amateur?
The mind and body are good as always am a machine.
2022 was another clean sweep for you going (3-0) and remaining undefeated. On reflection, are you pleased with the year you had? Anything you would have liked to do differently?
Yeah, I went 3-0 last year. They’re all left for dead. I’ve thought and beat the best after another and am doing things no one else is.
You’re somebody who oozes confidence ahead of battle. Tell us, where does that confidence come from, and has that always been there? Does it come from preparation?
The confidence comes from my past. These kids don’t realize the things I’ve seen. This is nothing for me. Honestly, it’s a breeze in the park. I feel nothing when I am in there. The confidence comes from how shit all these rookies are. I honestly feel like I wouldn’t need a camp, and I’d still whoop them.
Jack Axworthy Talks Mindset Ahead of Battle
What’s the mindset leading to the fight with Cory, with him only having one bout before meeting you? It seems like an extremely tough task, but a win-win for him, essentially with you taking all the risk. Would you agree with that?
To be honest, this camp is a warm-up for the next kid. Watch the things I do in the next one.
When I spoke with Cory, he told me he has the skills to exploit the holes in your game and believes he has the answers to your best weapons. Do you have a response to that?
Cory doesn’t have an answer when his mum asks what he wants for tea. He just injects. I am taking no back step in this one. You’re going to see an evil axe. He says holes his whole game is holes. He has nothing to bring apart from those big juice boobs he shakes. His striking is horrific. It’s white-collar at best he isn’t going past 2. There’s no way juice just ain’t going be enough am using every tool heels to headbutts.
You’ve cruised your way through your amateur career and are within weeks of attaining your third title. What does the remainder of the year look like for you? Is it a possibility we may see Jack Axworthy join the pro-ranks in 2024?
2024 I take over the pro game. This will be the fastest spiral. Even now, I watch the pros and just laugh all the same none of them move like me none.
Axworthy Slams O’Donovan
You posted on Instagram, “every minute this kid trains is a waste of his life. He’s getting dismantled. He ain’t going to be the same after this. Trust me on that.” I’m not going to ask you for your official prediction, as it’s clear how you feel the fight will unfold, but why do you put that extra pressure on yourself? Do you feel the pressure helps you perform more? Or is it a case of speaking it to the world, the law of attraction?
I feel no pressure at all. I’ve had the worst things happen to me. This is a relapse for me. I need this. I get enjoyment out of hurting people in that cage is a buzz and a drug for me. These things I say I truly believe because I have something in me. These cockroaches, Cory, brings no pressure to me. He goes to bed, an am in his head for I am already 8-0 the pussy would even do a face-to-face. That’s some weak-minded pedestrian right there. I feel after this one. He will translate to bodybuilding failed me, Olympia bubble gut.
I feel bad for his family for having to watch it’s going be a massacre in there. There is no way he makes it with that little dinner lady’s body. All that muscle comes with a price. He will gas badly. He’s getting taunted badly. I swear I am putting my hands behind my back at one point.
