UFC fans are disgusted by the price of the tickets for UFC Noche.
Las Vegas has always been a hotspot for entertainment, but the opening of The Sphere is taking things to a whole new level. This futuristic venue promises a fully immersive experience that could set a new standard for live events. It’s no surprise that Dana White and the UFC are seizing the opportunity to host a major fight at this cutting-edge arena. Mark your calendars for September 14th, as UFC Noche/UFC 306 will debut at The Sphere, and it’s sure to be an unforgettable event.
The Sphere has already made a splash with high-profile events like the NFL Draft, establishing itself as a top-tier venue for sporting events. UFC 306 is poised to continue this trend, offering a unique spectacle for fight fans.
With a seating capacity of around 20,000, The Sphere is designed to maximize the audience’s viewing experience. Dana White has also hinted at the addition of standing room tickets, which will be positioned strategically around the Octagon. Picture the Octagon at one end of the arena, reminiscent of a concert stage setup. This arrangement means that the standing area will be concentrated on one side of the cage, while space for standing tickets on the opposite side will be quite limited.
The seating design of The Sphere will stretch back like an amphitheatre, deviating from the traditional circular setup seen in most arenas. This unique layout creates a more dramatic viewing environment but does come with a downside. Walkouts will be less personal, as fighters will bypass much of the audience during their entrance, leaving fans at a greater distance from the pre-fight rituals.
UFC Fans Disgusted by Price of UFC Noche Tickets
The UFC’s investment in this groundbreaking venue has not come cheap. The promotion has already allocated a staggering $17 million for this single event. As of now, there are no plans for a regular series of fights at The Sphere, making this a one-time special occasion for fans. However, experiencing this state-of-the-art arena will require a hefty financial commitment.
Why so Expensive?
Tickets went on sale earlier this week, and the prices are certainly eye-catching. Ticketmaster’s listings reveal that most seats range from $3,000 to $12,000. Forbes reports that the least expensive tickets are priced at $2,157, while the top-tier options can go up to an astonishing $17,507. These prices are per ticket, so unless you’re prepared to attend solo or have a very wealthy friend, it might be tough to secure a spot. Despite the steep cost, those willing to splurge will be treated to a truly unique experience. However, with such high prices, the cost per fight is likely to be quite steep.
The main event of UFC Noche will feature a thrilling clash between bantamweight champion Sean O’Malley and Merab Dvalishvili, currently the top-ranked bantamweight in the UFC. This fight is shaping up to be a classic and is a perfect fit for such a high-profile venue.
Additionally, the co-main event will showcase a bout between women’s flyweight champion Alexa Grasso and former champion Valentina Shevchenko. Another exciting match to watch is the featherweight showdown between Brian Ortega and Diego Lopes.
While these fights are sure to excite, the reality is that most fans will find it challenging to attend in person due to the high ticket prices. As the UFC continues to offer exclusive VIP experiences and push the limits of where they hold their events, attending these shows will likely remain a luxury reserved for the wealthiest fans. For the rest of us, watching from the comfort of our homes will be the best option, while the elite get to experience the innovative features of The Sphere.
