Nick Diaz has found himself at the center of fan concern after a strange video recently surfaced online, just weeks ahead of his anticipated comeback against Vicente Luque at UFC 310 on December 7.
The video, allegedly posted by Diaz’s ex-girlfriend, shows a man resembling the 41-year-old UFC veteran crouched behind bushes, shirtless and seemingly setting items on fire. From a distance, the woman behind the camera calls out, “Nick, what are you doing? Are you alright?” Diaz, visibly annoyed, responds with a terse, “What?” before continuing his activity.
Fans immediately voiced their concern over the clip, questioning whether Diaz is in the right frame of mind to return to the Octagon. Although the identity of the man in the video hasn’t been confirmed as Diaz, the video has sparked widespread discussion and worry among his supporters.
Nick Diaz Sparks Concern with Odd Video Ahead of Vincente Luque Fight at UFC 310
This isn’t the first time fans have questioned Diaz’s recent behavior. After a controversial performance in his last fight against Robbie Lawler, many hoped that Diaz would retire for good. However, he remained adamant about continuing his fighting career, with his latest booking against Luque only heightening the discussion around his readiness.
Diaz, known for his outspoken nature and fan-favorite status, has always stirred mixed opinions in the MMA world. A long-time advocate for marijuana use, Diaz faced a five-year ban in 2015 after a failed drug test. However, the evolving stance on marijuana use in the sport allowed him to resume his career in 2021, sparking both anticipation and concern about his future fights.
In addition to the video incident, Diaz has also been criticized for his use of the Cameo app, where fans can pay for personalized video messages from celebrities. Recently, some fans reported receiving blank-screen videos with only faint audio from Diaz in the background, leaving them disappointed and frustrated. One fan expressed anger in a review, writing, “Are you kidding me?? A 3-second video of a black screen and talking in the background? Get off the drugs Nick, kids look up to you. What a disgrace. Video for a 14-year-old birthday to a kid who absolutely idolizes you, and this is what you give? Absolute rip off.”
What do you make of this concerning video of Nick Diaz? Is there anything it it? Should his friends and family be worried?
