Full Contact Contender 29 goes down on the 25th of June, and fights are starting to come out about ten weeks away. I recently spoke with FCC owner and promoter Adam Teh, who confirmed that Jamie Hay would be back in action to take on Craig Skelton.
Jamie is coming off of an appearance in Bellator where he fell to highly regarded Lee Hammond. On the other hand, Skelton snapped his losing streak with a win at BMF 1 in October. A win for Hay keeps him above a .500 winning percentage. A win for Skelton means he’s just one fight away from .500 himself.
Jamie Hay vs Craig Skelton
Both of these fighters have a ton to gain, and that often leads to both men throwing caution to the wind. At FCC 29, it’s no question whether these two will come to bang. Rather, the question is, who will walk out with their handheld high? Who will walk out the winner?
Jamie enters with a 2-1 record and is hell-bent on getting his third win. After a rough outing against Lee Hammond, Hay is now determined to show what level he can truly perform at. Having been undefeated entering his Bellator scrap, Jamie looks to return to top form. Now back in the promotion where he got his first two pro wins, Jamie has to feel at home heading into this pivotal fight.
Craig Skelton is searching for the first winning streak of his professional career, and he will have to do so at the expense of the aforementioned Jamie Hay. Craig got a Rear Naked Choke stoppage in the first minute of the very first round, his last time out. Throughout both his pro and amateur career, Craig has never seen a judge’s decision. Something tells me this one doesn’t go to the judges either.
