Malichi Edwards (3-0, 3KO/TKO) vs Jamie Davies (2-0, 2KO/TKO)
Two undefeated finishers will clash in a pivotal battle of up-and-coming amateurs. If either of these men can finish the other, then it’ll be hard to keep them out of the amateur title picture. Both men fight with all gas and no breaks, so this one is guaranteed to be fireworks. When the cage door shuts in Bolton come June 25th, one of these men walks out victorious. The other goes home and quickly switches his focus to the next victim at hand.
Malichi stands 3-0, with his last scrap coming in November of last year. The Manchester Top Team product is consistently raising eyebrows and has been recently seen around standouts of the sport like Lerone Murphy. Edwards has the support of the fans as well, and you can see that with a quick glance over social media. We could be staring down a massive up-and-coming star in this sport. If Malichi moves to 4-0 with this quality of a win, then there will be plenty of eyes watching.
Jamie enters Bolton hoping for his third victory to begin his amateur career. This is a tall task. Jamie is a finisher by nature, and so is Malichi, which is why this raises so many eyebrows. Jamie doesn’t have an ounce of “back down” in him, and the Monkey House representative knows how great of an opportunity he has at hand. This is undoubtedly Jamie’s largest step up in competition, so if he takes care of business, he’ll have paved the way for his future.
