Cory Sandhagen defeats Song Yadong due to a huge cut he opened with an elbow early in the fight. He continued to attack the wound and forced the action to a halt at the end of the fourth.
An impressive display from Cory all-around. He nullified Song’s power by continually threatening the takedown and landing short shots that would add up.
It was a beautiful step-in elbow that first initiated the cut. The ringside doctor would check it throughout the fight, but once the fifth round was about the start he had seen enough. Telling Herb Dean to step in and stop the fight.
