Floyd Mayweather has released an official statement on social media.
The boxing icon was recently filmed being swarmed by fans during a shopping trip in London, culminating in him being escorted into a car by his security team.
In this footage, Mayweather, a former five-weight world champion, can be seen browsing a jewellery store before the scene shifts to him walking back to his vehicle while in a heated exchange with a group of individuals.
As the video went viral, rumours spread online suggesting that Mayweather had been physically attacked.

Floyd Mayweather has firmly stated that he was neither hit nor harmed during his trip to the UK.
The boxing legend took to social media to clarify the situation and dispel the false rumours surrounding the incident. Mayweather wrote on Instagram;
“Let me set the record straight… there is no truth to the rumors circulating,”
“I wasn’t punched or touched in any way. What you’re seeing is just my security doing their job to maintain control.”
“I was only in the UK for a quick 48-hour visit to do some shopping, and unfortunately, some people let jealousy and negativity fuel false stories. I’m perfectly fine, and there’s really nothing more to it.”
Mayweather Shows No Signs of Slowing Down: Next Fight Likely in 2025
Floyd Mayweather retired from professional boxing after defeating Conor McGregor in 2017.
At 47, Mayweather still competes in exhibition matches against novice boxers with large social media followings.
Influencers like Logan Paul, Deji, and Aaron Chalmers have faced Mayweather, considered one of the greatest boxers.
Mayweather has also fought MMA stars and a former sparring partner, maintaining his millions in earnings from boxing.
His most recent opponent John Goti III, was the grandson of infamous gangster John Gotti. The two rematched in August after their initial about ended in a disqualification and post-fight brawl.
While it is unclear who Mayweather will fight next, he shows no signs of slowing down, and it seems certain that he will return to the ring in 2025.
