Footage has emerged of Justin Gaethje’s parents cage side reaction to UFC 300 knockout loss.
UFC 300 was last Saturday and it was truly an amazing event which will leave a lasting impression.
During the event, Justin Gaethje would be defending his BMF title against Max Holloway. Max Holloway was able to land the decisive blow in the final seconds of their fight to knockout Justin Gaethje. Tim Welch captured a video of Gaethje’s parents reaction to his fight.
Justin Gaethje’s Parents React to Max Holloway KO Loss
Justin Gaethje’s parents were at UFC 300. They watched their son intensely as they were watching their son put on an amazing show against Max Holloway. They were still watching intently even at the end of the fight when the two fighters slugged it out in the final seconds of the last round. Justin Gaethje’s father had been watching his son enthusiastically supporting his son against Holloway throughout the whole fight. However, he was left with a look of pure disbelief across his face after the fight. His mother was unable to watch and had to bury her head in her hands as the reality of what had happened started to set in.
This is a stark reminder that even though these fighters are superstars who we support and look on to they are still someone’s son or daughter. This however, is the reality of the fight game. At one point you are on top of the world as a champion and the next you are knocked out on the canvas.
Holloway Praised Gaethje
Max Holloway took a moment after the fight to heap praise on his fallen opponent Justin Gaethje. At the end of the day, Justin Gaethje did push Holloway to the last second. Gaethje forced Holloway to dig deep and leave everything he could in the octagon to become champion. Holloway earned an extra $600,000 due to his performance. Holloway took to social media to say;

It was a very classy move from Holloway and is a testament to the respect and admiration these two have for each other. At the end of the day once the adrenaline had gone away Holloway realised that the true victory was in the fight itself.
What is next for Gaethje? We will need to wait and see however, we will be looking forward to watching “The highlight” when he returns.
