Former UFC fighter Francis Ngannou teases a potential fight with Jon Jones in Saudi Arabia.
The Cameroon fighter is preparing for his first MMA fight in three years.
Ever since the return of Jones in the UFC fans are hoping to see the pair clash.
Could Francis Ngannou vs Jon Jones Happen?
Jon Jones returned to the UFC in and claimed the heavyweight title with a win over Cyril Gane. The belt was previously held by Francis Ngannou who left the UFC as a free agent. Since then fans have been speculating to see if the pair are able to face off in the Octagon.
With rumours swirling around of a potential fight surfacing Francis Ngannou offered a potential fight locating. Speaking to DAZN, the Cameroon fighter said: “Yes, I think there is more of a chance of it happening in Saudi Arabia.”
Unsurprisingly, the pair could face off in Saudi Arabia with the country having already hosted several high-profile events. The main instigator behind these fights is Turki Alalshikh who has managed to arrange these fighters. The events in Saudi Arabia has seen Tyson Fury vs Usyk to unify the heavyweight division and just this past weekend Dmitry Bivol and Artur Beterbiev clashed to unify the light heavyweight division.
Turki has led to a boxing revolution with several big names clashing in the ring. Furthermore, with the country set to host several high-profile fights in the future, it could feature Jon Jones and Francis Ngannou.
Ngannou prepares for MMA return
After a three-year hiatus from MMA, Francis Ngannou is set to face Renan Ferreira in his PFL debut. However, since his release from the UFC, Ngannou has dabbled in boxing, facing Tyson Fury and Anthony Joshua.
Facing off against a seasoned veteran in Renan in his first fight Francis has a tough task. However, Francis Ngannou is blessed with knockout power and can end a fight with one punch. Furthermore, his famous knockout of Alistair Overeem is one example fight fans re-watch.
