Francis Ngannou claims that he is ‘going to take his (Anthony Joshua’s) soul’ ahead of their highly anticipated boxing fight.
The new boxing sensation, Francis Ngannou, has returned and what a way to come back! Ngannou v Joshua is one of the greatest fights that could have come from the ‘Predator’ joining boxing . Anthony Joshua has been circulating around the title of one of the greatest boxers in his age but has always fallen short behind Tyson Fury, Deontay Wilder and recently, Olexandr Usyk. However, Tyson Fury and Usyk’s highly awaited match up has once again been delayed and so Joshua takes the spotlight with Francis Ngannou to take the spot of Deontay Wilder.
However Anthony Joshua should be weary with his new opponent.
Francis Ngannou Sends a Message
Francis Ngannou spoke with the High-Performance Podcast and sent his message to the Olympic champion. ‘We don’t know the strength of Anthony Joshua but even though, I don’t believe he has that strength. But we’re going to find out in two months. We’re going to find out and I think the reverse is going to happen. I’m going to take his soul.’ The former UFC heavyweight champion also believes that he may get a chance to rematch the ‘Gypsy King’ if he wins, believing that ‘Nothing is impossible right?’
The two heavyweight giants are scheduled to fight on March 8th, 2024. The fight should be an absolute spectacle rather than the relatively uneventful match between Francis Ngannou and Tyson Fury. While Anthony Joshua by far is the more experienced boxer out of the two fighters, Francis Ngannou has shown that he can stand with the best after only losing to Fury via a split decision. Joshua however, is the fighter coming off a win streak as he is on a three fight win streak with his last fight being a very impressive TKO victory over Otto Wallin.
Whatever the record of Anthony Joshua, Francis Ngannou can knockout anyone. The heavyweight monster has the power of a sledge hammer. The question for Joshua isn’t whether Ngannou can keep up with him. It’s whether Joshua can avoid the ‘Predator’s’ power.
