George Tokkos is in action as the London born fighter takes on Mingyang Zhang. The bout will take place on Road to UFC: Singapore episode one and looks sure to end in a finish.
George Tokkos now resides in Florida and fights out of Sanford MMA. He has training partners like “Rumble” Johnson, Aung La N Sang and Phil Hawes in and around his weight class, which is surely a good thing. He has won his last three fights by stoppage, capturing the vacant Fury FC light-heavyweight belt in the first round against Ty Flores la
His opposite, Mingyang Zhang, is 15-6. That is more than double Tokkos. Currently, on an 8-fight, first-round stoppage streak, he is a dangerous prospect for anyone. Most recently, fighting at heavyweight, he is big for the division and holds a 4-inch reach advantage.
The tournament itself is to be held over the course of two days, June 9th and 10th. It will be a win and advance styled tournament, with the semi-finals and finals expected to take place later this year. It will do plenty to keep fans entertained as we await UFC 275 and gives some of Asia’s best talent an opportunity.
