Gervonta “Tank” Davis will return to the boxing ring in New York to face Lamont Roach.
The man with the highest KO rate in current day boxing will return to the squared circle on Saturday night in the Barclays Center.
Gervonta Davis has been an absolute KO demon knocking out 28 of 30 opponents faced. Most recently beating Frank Martin in the 8th round. Davis has got a whole host of talent in his win column including; Ryan Garcia, Rolly Romero, Mario Barrios and Isaac Cruz with only Cruz able to withstand Davis’s power losing via Unanimous Decision.
Lamont Roach on the other hand hasn’t had quite the tests of Davis. Roach has a record of 25-1-1 losing to Jamel Herring and drawing to Orlando Cruz. Since the loss to Herring, Roach is on a 5 fight winning streak including two knockout victories. Although the record and quality of said record doesn’t match Tank, Roach has been very confident he can cause Davis problems.

The two have been relatively respectful during the lead up to Saturdays bout with Tank even showing some respect to Mama Roach.
Gervonta Davis: “Why do you bring her(your mom)?” Lamont Roach: “She loves to see me whoop ass! You ain’t too shy to say what you going to do, right?!” Gervonta Davis: “I am now…because your mom is right there”
Both are so confident that a friendly bet took place at the final face off Friday afternoon.

Tank has been very consistent in creating the storyline of being the most explosive boxer in the world backed up by his KO rate.
“I give the people what they wanna see… explosive knockouts and s**t like that.”
The undercard sees Alberto Puello take on Sandor Martin in a highly contested Super Lightweight bout which sees both on the edge of some great world level opportunities.
The other high profile bout includes Jose Valenzuela vs Gary Antuanne Russell in a must win for both fighters.
