Giuseppe Ruggeri took home a Unanimous Decision victory over the tough Englishman Dean Trueman at Cage Warriors 135 in Manchester.
In the first round, both men battled back and forth in a high paced affair. Both Dean Trueman and Giuseppe Ruggeri put all their efforts forward. Every shot traded looked tightly strung, and both men remained offensive at all times on the ground. Near the end, Trueman landed a head kick that, if cleaner, could have stopped the bout.
In the second much of the same ensued, with Trueman getting the better of the grappling as time went on. Yet, with two minutes left, Ruggeri pressed forward and Trueman looked tired. He still managed to land a clean knee in one of the exchanges. Giuseppe Ruggeri then Scored a takedown trip, landing in half guard and hitting the Englishman with short, jagged elbows and opening up the blood faucet.
The third round started aggressively, as was now expected of these two. Ruggeri secured a takedown and the two commenced an exhaustive ground battle again. Trueman fought fiercely from half guard, but as the final spinning back kick was thrown, the judges rendered Italys Ruggeri the victor.
