There’s nothing quite like walking out and performing in front of a sold-out crowd. That’s what the competitors at Golden Ticket Fight Promotions are going to experience on March 5th in Wolverhampton.
GTFP has sold out their entire allocation for an event for the first time in their history. Considering the event being five-weeks away, it speaks volumes. With GTFP being the promotions first event of the year, it certainly does generate optimism for the rest of the year. Both for Golden Ticket and the regional UK scene as a whole.
The Wolverhampton based promotion ended the last year on a high with a fantastic card at Golden Ticket Fight Promotions 17. One can only assume that the skill and excitement on display in December directly contributed to their upcoming event’s hype. A familiar face on the regional scene headlined the event, Chris Miah, competing for the featherweight title – besting Robbie Scott in a five-round battle.

Once again being hosted in Wolverhampton, the upcoming Golden Ticket card promises to replicate the excitement of their December card. Possibly even surpassing it. The upcoming card features six, yes, that is correct, SIX title fights. This includes the finishing machine Thomas “Juggernaut” Paul taking on former Cage Warriors vet Perry “The Predator” Goodwin in what is sure to be a barn-burner of a fight.
The card is not, however, only propped up by a fantastic main event. There is quality from top to bottom, and the staff at Golden Ticket have done a great job during the matchmaking process. Another intriguing fight involves two of the brightest up and comers in UK MMA; Rough House MMA’s Thomas Owen locking horns with Renegade MMA’s Shay Ingram. Both combatants come into the fight with their undefeated records on the line. A win will undoubtedly bring big things for the victor.
