Almighty Fighting Championship rolls onto their third show of their scheduled twelve in 2022.
Almighty FC promoter, Ray Thompson, is coming off two back-to-back successful shows in Houghton le Spring and Barnsley. Next up, the English based promotion will head to the Olympia in Liverpool for what’s looking to be a card of the year candidate, with a handful of notable names in action.
The show has begun announcing fights via their social media, including their main event headliner, which features a professional middleweight title bout between Haider Khan and Ole Magnor.
Haider Khan vs. Ole Magnor
Haider Khan (3-0), who fights out of Aspire, has found great success since turning to the professional ranks in 2021 and has remained extremely active.
Last year saw Khan accumulate three wins in four months. They came over Igor Puskarskis, Bertrand Batamag Epoune, and Sebastian Sroka, one of those by stoppage.
The middleweight fighter will be eager on continuing to ride his recent momentum and add his first professional title to his locker. April 2nd will mark Khan’s third time competing on Almighty, and no fight comes bigger than this.
Norweigan native, Ole Magnor (6-6), enters the bout as the more experienced fighter. He has been competing in the professional ranks since 2014. Magnor has also been in there and tested himself against the UFC’s new rising star Khamzat Chimaev.
Since turning professional Magnor has failed to find consistency in his performances. However, as of late, the Novus Academy representative has established a winning formula, securing three back-to-back wins in 2019. Among those victories was two first-round stoppages over Wayne O’Neill and David Round. Both on Battle Arena.
2019 was the last time we witnessed Magnor compete inside the cage, so, it’s certain he will be well-rested and ready to get back to work.
This main event between two athletes who have found some form has a potential fight of the night written all over it. A worthy headliner.
