After winning a decision over opponent Jake Constantinou, Harry Marple spoke with CSUK’s Chris Simpson as he had words to say on his performance and the fight as a whole.
Coming just before GTFP 18‘s main event last Saturday, Marple vs Constantinou was an intriguing fight on the main card. With the light welterweight title on the line, tensions were running high in the K.K. Steelmill, Wolverhampton. After a five year break from the sport, Marple was back and ready. However, it wouldn’t be easy as he stood across the cage from the undefeated Jake Constantinou.
The fight began, and we were set for three rounds of pro-MMA. Both men had their wide range of skills on show in the fight, round 2 especially praised after a fantastic show of technique. After such a close and intense three rounds, people debated how they personally scored the rounds. However, it all came down to the judge’s decision. Harry Marple had his hand raised in the end, showing no sign of ring rust. Handing the first loss to Constantinou made Harry’s win all the more impressive. This is what he had to say in the post-fight interview:
