Former two-division champion Henry Cejudo believes that Ireland’s rising star, Ian Garry, is the new ‘king of cringe.’
Prior to his retirement, MMA fans believed that Henry Cejudo comfortably held that title.
Garry defeated Darian Weeks via unanimous decision last weekend at UFC 273 to remain undefeated.

When Jon Anik asked Garry to assess his performance, the Irishman tried to get the fans hyped instead of answering the question.
“Firstly, I wanna say what’s up Jacksonville?! Get it going. I wanna hear you.”
“It was good. He was tough, he was big, he was strong. I wanted to stop him and manipulate the game into my realm. I didn’t want him to wrestle because he’s a good wrestler.
“I was having trouble finding my rhythm but at the end of the day, it’s 15 minutes in the cage. I ain’t happy with it as I like finishing fights, but it’s experience and as I’ve said before. I’m not perfect that but I’m getting there.
“My wife is pregnant, we are expecting at the end of the year,” Garry said. “Dana, Mick, Sean, line them up, I’ll knock them out and by the time I’m done with this division, everyone is gonna be calling me daddy.”
Following his post-fight interview, Cejudo took to Twitter to announce that Garry is the new king of cringe.
“That’s it everybody, Ian Garry just stole my title of king of cringe! #ufc273”
Now 2-0 inside the promotion, it’s fair to say that the future looks bright for Garry.
Despite not getting the finish last weekend, the Irishman proved that he is ready to compete at the top level in the UFC.
