A huge fight has just been announced at Almighty FC 28 between two of the top UK amateur flyweight prospects when Joe Fields will take on Shawon Choudhury for his amateur flyweight title.
Shawon “Beast Boy” Choudhury (7-1) vs Joe “The Butcher” Fields (5-1)
This pair of athletes will be competing to set themselves apart from the rest of the division in this massive fight for championship gold.
Both fighters are currently on three-fight win streaks. Each with two finishes. Both are also going on to win via decision in their last bout. Another similarity between them is that they both lost by armbars before their current streaks. The only professional defeat for both fighters, respectively.
Out of Choudhury’s seven wins so far, only two have been via decision, will the other five coming by way of submission, mainly by chokes (Guillotine and rear naked chokes), showcasing the fact that he is to be feared on the ground. Out of Fields’ five victories have come with the one decision, three KO/TKO’s (punches), and one submission win, demonstrating he is very well rounded; though it seems more likely he will want to keep the fight on the feet, where I can see Choudhury wanting to take the fight to the floor.
In a monumental fight in the amateur flyweight ranks, who is going to walk away with the win? Do you think the contest be carried out on the feet, or will it be forced to the ground?
