UFC welterweight contender Ian Machado Garry has accused his UFC 303 opponent Michael ‘Venom’ Page of trying to spy on him ahead of their fight this weekend.
The pair will set the pace for the main card on Saturday night, in what is a highly anticipated clash of styles.
There has been a lot of back-and-forth between the two during the buildup to their bout, with friendly jibes being sent from both sides. Consequently, Page created a song, titled ‘BBL Garry’, which he will walk out to inside the T-Mobile Arena.
However, Machado Garry took it to another level at Thursday’s presser, accusing the Englishman of attempting to spy on him.
What Exactly Did Ian Machado Garry Say?
The Irishman claimed that both ‘Venom’ Page and his BJJ coach tried to pay a teammate of his to leak information from the training camp.
At the present time, there is no evidence of any wrongdoing from Page and his London Shootfighters team. Although, the 26-year-old did claim, in a post on X, that he has receipts.
Page also did not comment on the accusations during, or after, the presser.
Machado Garry said: “Did you and your team offer thousands of dollars to get information in Chute Boxe from my boys?
“Did you send someone a message and offer thousands for information, and yet couldn’t infiltrate the camp? You couldn’t! The Chute Boxe camp is too tight.
“Your Jiu-Jitsu coach offered money to one of my Brazilian friends, and you got nothing. Saturday night, you’re f*cked!
“All I know is you and your Jiu-Jitsu coach are getting suspended for life.”
