With lots of exterior attending landing on the Irishman these last few months. Ian Machado Garry looks to silence the noise with an impressive in-cage performance at UFC 298 when he returns against the eighth-ranked Geoff Neal. The undefeated welterweight sits tenth in the rankings after an impressive display last time out, where he scored a unanimous decision victory over perennial welterweight contender Neil Magny.
Ian Machado Garry Warns Geoff Neal Ahead of UFC 298
Ahead of the fight in just under two weeks. ‘The Future’ took to Instagram to issue a warning to Neal for their upcoming bout. When questioned how he was going to stop “Handz of Steel”, Garry stated: “What am I going to finish him with? I am going to make him quit.”
The budding Irish star then proceeded to produce a strange analogy with the following. “He’ll choose when he’s done. I’d like to kick him to the body and have him do that when the dog’s sh*tting – the look when the dogs look at you, like, when they’re pooing, for protection. That’s what they do, right? Look at their owners when they’re pooing because that’s when they’re vulnerable for attack?”

UFC 298 Showdown
The duo had previously been set to tussle at UFC 292, where Garry dispatched the aforementioned Neil Magny. Garry would have a scheduled bout from UFC 296 fall through against Vincente Luque after withdrawing through illness.
Neal’s last outing saw him succumb to the surging Shavkat Rakhmonov via third-round submission at UFC 285. Looking to win his first bout back in almost 11 months. Neal will surely have extra incentive to win with all the Garry mind games before both bouts.
