Former UFC man Mike Perry has made his intentions clear for his huge BKFC fight with Michael Page: Pure violence.
On June 9th, a Bare Knuckle boxing bout between Mike Perry and Michael ‘Venom’ Page was announced for August 20th in London, much to the surprise of MMA fans around the world.
The fight comes after Brit MVP lost an all-important decision against Logan Storley for the interim Bellator welterweight strap, and now looks to explore other opportunities in the combat sports world. His opponent, ‘Platinum’ Mike Perry, sends a fierce warning to the former Bellator man:
Mike Perry warns MVP at BKFC 27 press conference
“I hope I don’t scare you away, MVP.”
“I’m going to break your hands with my forehead, going to put pressure on you constantly, and there’s going to be nothing you can do to get me off you.”
“I’m going to be constantly in your face throwing heat.”
“We both knock people unconscious. We’ve both had very entertaining careers. But the best fighters in the world, they don’t want no problem with me inside that ring, I guarantee you.”
Perry has entered the BKFC ring once before this bout, when he battled his way to a decision win over Julian Lane.
Both men are devastating strikers on their day, with KO power on both ends of the matchup.
12 of ‘MVP’s 20 career wins have come by KO/TKO. While Perry has recorded 11 KO’s in 14 pro MMA fights.
