On February 8th, Imran Hassan returns to the cage in a 61kg MMA bout at Goliath Fight Series, held at Alloa Town Hall, Scotland. After a lengthy layoff due to injury, Imran Hassan is ready to showcase his improvements and start the year strong.
In our interview, Hassan shared insights into his recovery, growth as a fighter, and his goals for the future.
Although he was sidelined due to surgery, Hassan made sure to keep training and stay as active as possible during the downtime.
“Been training, always doing what I can during the time off,” Hassan explained. “But the time off was due to me having surgery because of an injury I picked up in my last fight. I have been healthy and ready for a fight for a while now.”
Imran Hassan on Growth in Skill and Mentality
Despite the time away, Hassan believes he has returned as a much-improved version of himself. His last fight provided him with valuable experience, and he’s confident the lessons learned will be on full display.
“Definitely, I feel like I’ve improved. Even though I had to take a few months out, I feel like the past year I’ve grown a lot—not just in skill but in professionalism and experience,” he said. “Due to my last fight being such a challenge, I’ve proved to myself that I can stay level-headed in all the chaos a fight can come with.”
Kicking Off 2025 with Purpose
Imran Hassan isn’t just focused on winning; he’s determined to perform at his best. His sights are set on consistent fights this year to prepare for a future in the professional ranks.
“A win is always the priority and will be great, but more importantly, I want to perform well when I’m in there,” Hassan emphasized. “This year, I want to fight as much as possible and get good fights with good opponents. My only goal is to prepare myself for the pro ranks, and there’s no better way to do that than to have good fights.”
Although limited footage is available, Hassan has studied what he can and expects an exciting battle.
“Yeah, I have watched him. There’s not a lot out there, but from his fights, he seems to have grit and durability and doesn’t shy away from the fight,” Hassan said. “I think the viewers will see a good display of mixed martial arts.”
When asked for a prediction, Hassan kept it clear and focused.
“I see myself getting the win by any means necessary,” he confidently stated.
As fight night approaches, Hassan is determined to deliver a performance that reflects his hard work and growth. Stay tuned for full coverage from Goliath Fight Series as Combat Sports UK brings you updates from the event.
