UFC London is finally on the horizon after a long stretch away from the United Kingdom due to the global pandemic. The O2 in London will host the UFC on March 19th, in what’s shaping up to be a special night for the British fighters in action.
I’ve been speaking with the British fighters ahead of their bouts in this series and throwing them some fun and unique quick-fire questions. Next up, we have Wales’s own Jack Shore.
Jack Shore will meet Russia’s Timur Valiev in his toughest test to date, which will see the twenty-seven-year-old leap up the bantamweight rankings if victorious.

Who would be in yours if you could make a five-aside fight team?
Nate Diaz, Nick Diaz, Brock Lesnar, Jon Jones, and Tyson fury.
Minus yourself, who’s the hardest worker at Shore MMA?
Without a shadow of a doubt Brett Johns. He’s the king of the grind.
What is your favourite discipline in MMA?
Currently, it’s Muay Thai. Been working with my Thai coach for the last four years, and I’ve fallen in love with it as an art!
Realistically, how long before Jack Shore gets a UFC bantamweight title shot?
2/3 years.
What do you put the recent success of Welsh MMA down to?
I think it comes from the hard environment we grow up in Wales. There’s not much to do here apart from fighting or playing rugby. It builds tough characters and has done for many years.
If you had the power to change one rule in the sport, what would it be?
I’d change it to 1 15 minute round instead of 3×5’s.
Does Shore Agree With Open Scoring?
Open scoring or no open scoring?
No open scoring.
Who has given you your toughest fit yet?
Vaughn Lee or Hunter Azure.
Do you think we ever see UFC Wales?
Without a doubt. We see UFC wales.

My UFC debut. It was a life time dream achieved.

Leon Edwards.
Biggest young prospect currently from Shore MMA?

A mixture of both, money doesn’t last forever, but a legacy does. But also, in the words of Floyd Mayweather, legacy doesn’t put food on the table for your kids.
If you could give one piece of advice to a young Jack shore, what would it be?
Even when it feels like the road is never-ending keep going and keep working hard. It always pays off.
Who is your dream matchup in the bantamweight division?
