Ian Garry will make his return to the octagon at UFC 276 on July 2nd. Making his third appearance for the company he will take on Gabe Green, who’s making his fourth walk. After his first two tests for Ian went smoothly, there’s now a step-up in competition.
Ian Garry
9-0, “The Future” has made his mark since entering the UFC late last year. A former Cage Warriors champion, Garry made his debut with high aspirations. He soon delivered on his early hype when he KO’d Jordan Williams in the first. He took to the mic after the fight to let the fans know there was more to come.
More to come came in the form of Darrian Weeks. Taking place at UFC 273, Ian picked up the unanimous decision victory. Not his best work, he even admitted this himself. However, He out stuck the American and showed more to his game than previous.
Now he will face his toughest opponent yet when he enters the cage on July 2nd at UFC 276.
Gabe Green
11-3, Green has without a doubt the most tools of all Ian’s previous UFC opponents. Riding a two-fight win streak after his debut loss, he is currently 2-1 in the UFC. Now looking to extend his run, last time out was his best performance yet. After his improved eyesight, he looks better than ever.
A tough competitor who has finished ten of his wins. Four by KO/TKO’s and six via way of submission. Ian will have his work cut out for him, this will be a great fight.
The Stakes
A great match-up where both men have ways of winning. Each fighter will gain with a win here, Ian to continue his hype. Gabe is to take the rub and show he’s a force at welterweight.
Will “The Future” Ian Garry go 10-0?
