UFC middleweight Sean Strickland continued his wild week of media ahead of his UFC Vegas 76 main event against Abus Magomedov. Strickland added more controversial statements to his resumé after making headlines for his statements on women in the workforce earlier this week.
Sean Strickland Locks In On Israel Adesanya
While it’s not the first time that the middleweight champion has been the center of a Strickland attack, Strickland ticked it up a notch this time.
“It’s kind of embarrassing that Dricus gets a potential shot, but ‘Izzy’ the Chinese — true Chinese — they probably want to bring a real African back to the championship. Can you guys believe that s—t? Is that real when he says look at the color of my skin? Did that really happen? Is that real? This f—king clown, this f—king loser, bro. They need to revoke your black card, bro. I don’t even look at you like a black man. I look at you like the f—king Chinese.”
This is a reference to past comments Adesanya has made about “having a Chinese heart”. The champion has also spent lots of time training in China and has waived the country’s flag multiple times for the UFC.
None of this is out of the ordinary for Sean Strickland, who has some of the wildest comments and antics in the history of the promotion. Just last week he was beating up another random troll, something that seems like a habit before fights at this point.
Strickland wasn’t done after his comments about Adesanya and continued ranting on, this time about upcoming opponent Abus Magomedov.
Strickland Switches Aim to Abus Magomedov
“This is a fun fight, man,” Strickland said of him vs. Adesanya. “Like, you take Abus. Who the f—k is Abus? Let’s just say Abus knocks me the f—k out and he becomes the champion. Who the f—k is Abus? Do you really want Abus as a champion contender? Does that guy even speak English? A little bit? Well, there we go. I don’t know, man. I barely speak f—king English. Man can’t fight during f—king Ramadan and s—t.”

Strickland is coming off an impressive short-notice win over Nassoudine Imavov back in January. Magomedov is coming off a 19-second KO over Dustin Stolzfus in his UFC debut last September. With the #7 ranking on the line, expect this one to be hotly contested by both men hungry for a title shot.
