As the countdown to Almighty Fighting Championship 35 in Deeside, Wales, draws near, Jack Bangs is gearing up for his first cage appearance of the year. Since his last victory at the end of last year, Bangs has been hard at work, focusing on his strength and conditioning to ensure he steps into the cage fitter, stronger, and hungrier than ever before.
Reflecting on his achievements, Bangs attributes his success to his dedication to training, his continuous learning as a student of the game, and his unwavering self-belief. He says:
“My success at the moment is a factor of many things… I train hard, I’m a true student of the game, and I really do believe in myself wholly.”
At Almighty FC’s upcoming event, Bangs is slated to face Lewis Mackenzie. Despite acknowledging Mackenzie’s skills and experience, Bangs sees the matchup as favourable, considering their similar styles and statures. He anticipates a highly competitive fight but is confident in his ability to emerge victorious. Bangs states:
Jack Bangs Seeks Competitive Fight at Almighty FC 35
“Lewis Mackenzie is a dangerous guy – just like every person who has 5 or more fights in their experience. The matchup suits me really well. We’re similar styles, similar heights, I expect a very competitive fight with me coming out on top.”
Studying his opponent closely, Bangs has identified potential openings in Mackenzie’s defence, which he plans to exploit during their bout. He notes:
“The great thing about having YouTube now is that you can watch all of the footage on your opponents in good time before competition. Lewis is skilled everywhere, however I can see holes in his defence which I will capitalise on.”
In his moments of reflection, Bangs envisions various scenarios for the fight. However, one prevailing image stands out: Bangs seizing the opportunity as Mackenzie overextends, leading to a decisive victory and the raising of his hand in triumph at the end of the night. Bangs concludes:
“I think about the fight very often. I picture Lewis trying to grab my legs and reaching too far, and he gets caught doing it. I don’t think he will want to strike with me for too long. I get my hand raised at the end of the night.”
With his sights set on success, Bangs eagerly awaits the opportunity to showcase his skills in the cage once more at Almighty Fighting Championship 35.
