On the 5th March, 2022 – MECCA in Swindon plays host to one of the most promising new UK MMA Promotions, Raged UK. Today we catch up with Jack Dedames, a promising talent who is hunting for the Raged UK Welterweight title.
Jack Dedames Interview
Jack talks his team and prep so far.
My team is ‘Project Mayhem’. Andy Costello, Luke Costello, Marc Allen, Andrew Parker are all amazing teammates and training partners. I also train with Team ‘Chaos Devon’ – Steve Pender, Christi Brereton, and all my teammates at this gym, all are top-level guys, all round.
”My plans after this is to hit the big fights after I finish this fight in round 1. I want that welterweight title for Raged UK, there is no other option – but the title”
Prep is perfect at the moment. I’m working with high-level guys in all areas and just getting the work done.
Jack talks about getting into MMA.
I’ve always been a fighter at heart, from a kid doing boxing, to now. I was scared but angry as a kid, when I reached a certain age, I just found the courage and started fighting in the streets. Unfortunately, I started getting into trouble and just turned to an MMA gym and never looked back. I love training, I don’t have a favourite part. I’m in love with the whole game.
Jack on who inspires him as a fighter.
When I was younger I used to watch Muhammad Ali and Mike Tyson a lot, just the same videos over and over. Loved those guys. They haven’t affected my game as boxing and MMA are two very different beasts, but they affected my work ethic.
”Each fight is different but to be honest, I’m me and don’t care about the other guy, that might change as levels progress but right now just focussed on being the best version of myself.”
