Jacob Malkoun looks incredibly impressive as he takes out Nick Maximov via unanimous decision at UFC Vegas 62.
Starting the fight on the feet the two grapplers cancel each other out. After exchanging on the feet Malkoun is landing nice jabs and Maximov throwing hooks. Landing a big left, Nick hits Jacob flush and scores a flash knockdown.
Malkoun recovered quickly and continued to pour on the pressure. Landing combinations Jacob Malkoun takes control and begins to mix in his wrestling. With around two minutes remaining in the round, Maximov was clearly feeling something in his right leg as he was continually wincing in pain.
Nick manages to survive the round and limos back to the corner. Back to the action Malkoun builds on his strong round one and secured multiple takedowns. Using his improved striking to land big when on the feet it’s all one-way traffic heading into the third.
Heading into the third the picture is as clear as the first two. With an injured Maximov trying his best to land the killer blow, as Jacob Malkoun evades. The round ends with Malkoun once again in control.
Earning a unanimous decision victory against a tough opponent. Jacob Malkoun was in control for 95% of the fight. Credit to Nick Maximov for fighting through a clear injury.
